Ever wonder what Christmas looked like in 1901? Adsmore House & Gardens in Princeton, KY is decorated for the holiday season circa 1901 and Lifestyle Tours will travel back in time to Christmas past to find out.
Adsmore is a circa-1857 Greek Revival house that has been restored to its late Victorian state. The house was inhabited by members of the prominent Smith-Garrett family and is furnished with the family’s collection of American antiques, decorative and personal accessories. The home is now used as a living history museum. A Christmas tree will be in the house’s parlor with packages and toys sitting underneath. The house’s dining room will be decorated with the family’s best china as well as fruit pieces to reflect the room’s fruit basket wallpaper.
