Thursday, November 9

Depart from Lakeside Commons (N. Green River Rd by ONB)

Enjoy coffee + doughnuts as we travel.

Along the way we will stop for breaks and lunch.

We’ll check-in at the Edgewater Hotel.

The hotel’s location offers easy access to the shops of Gatlinburg and the trolley.

Saturday, November 11

9:00amOrientation and welcome at the Winston-Salem Visitor Center
9:30amWe’ll see Old Salem as we take the “Footsteps Through History” tour.
11:15amLunch is at The Tavern in Old Salem.
2:30pmDepart from Old Salem
3:00pmReynolda House Museum of American Art
Once the 1917 mansion of R.J. Reynolds and his wife, Katharine, the original family furnishings, clothing and toys can be found throughout the main floor.

We will see the Reynolda collection of American art with works dating from 1755 to the present. This National Historic Property is considered one of the finest American art museums in the southeast.

Included in our tour of the house is admission to the special exhibit

”Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern!”

4:30pmA staff member from Reynolda Gardens will lead us through the

Gardens and Greenhouses or you can explore on your own if you prefer.

Dinner is included at Camel City BBQ Factory.

Sunday, November 12

Breakfast is included the hotel’s Bayberry Bistro.

Meet Ken, our Asheville local guide, at The Grove Park Inn.

Ken will give us a tour of this historic lodge.
NOON:Blue Ridge Artisanal Buffet at The Grove Park Inn.

After our lunch Ken will take us on a tour of the area, including Asheville and the Folk Art Center along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather/fog permitting).

Later this afternoon we’ll check-in at the Inn on Biltmore Estate.

Monday, November 13

Last night’s tour featured the decorations.
Today the home itself is the highlight of the tour.
12:30pmBuffet Lunch at Deerpark Restaurant on the Estate

This afternoon you can spend some time on your own enjoying the surroundings of the Estate. Transportation is available from the Inn to the new Antler Hill Village on the grounds of the Estate.
2:30pmTour Biltmore Winery.
Dinner is on your own at one of the several food outlets on the Biltmore.

Tuesday, November 14

Breakfast is included in the Inn Dining Room.
9:00amESTDepart from the Inn on Biltmore Estate.

We’ll stop for breaks and lunch on the way home.
5:30pmCSTReturn to Evansville (Return time is approximate.)

    • It must be purchased by September 28, 2017 to cover this tour.

    • Refund is given in the form of a Travel Certificate.
  • For your safety, please remain seated while the bus is in motion.
  • We will have one luggage tag per person at boarding. That suitcase will be carried to/from the motorcoach/hotel room.
  • Balance is due September 28, 2017.
  • Please, enjoy your ice cream and milk products outside the bus.
  • Thank you for respecting the sound-space of your fellow travelers by using your cell phone outside the motorcoach during our frequent stops.
  • Please be seated with the person with whom you are traveling . If there are empty seats available after everyone has boarded, you are welcome to move.
