Tuesday, May 31

7:00 am CT (8:00 am ET) Depart from Lakeside Commons on N. Green River Rd (by ONB)

As we travel, we’ll stop for breaks and lunch.

Arriving in Milwaukee, we will check into our hotel, the Drury Plaza Hotel Milwaukee Downtown,- an historic renovation of the 15-story First Financial Centre building.

Dinner this evening is the hotel’s “5:30 KickBack”.
Enjoy a relaxing evening cruise on a Milwaukee River Cruise Line ship.

Wednesday, June 1

Breakfast is available in the Drury Plaza Hotel.

9:00 am Depart from Milwaukee

Late this morning we arrive at the Door County Visitor Center.
We’ll meet our local guide who will be with us during our stay on Door County.
This afternoon our tour to Door County begins!  Today we explore these sites.

12:30 pm Lunch is at The Lodge at Leathem Smith.

This afternoon’s touring will include a Concert in a School House and a visit to Koepsel’s Farm Market. https://koepsels.com/

Late this afternoon we’ll check-into our home for the next two nights, Rowleys Bay Resort at Ellison Bay, Wisconsin. 
Rowleys Bay Resort is situated on 100 secluded acres with 700 feet of  Lake Michigan shoreline.

This evening’s dinner is a real treat! Starting with the History Story by “Peter Rowley” we’ll hear and see this interesting Door County tradition. And then we’ll enjoy the resort’s Fish Boil Dinner Buffet


Thursday, June 2

The Breakfast Buffet at Rowleys Bay Resort starts our day!

8:30 am Depart from Rowleys Bay Resort.

Our day on Washington Island starts with a ferry ride!
Today we take in some of the sights of Washington Island.

StavKirke  (Church of Staves) 
Construction was done by a local group of volunteers here in 1992. It is based on drawings of one build in Borgund, Norway in 1150 AD

Washington Island Farm Museum
Farm buildings from around the Island were re-assembled and displayed here along with old tools and implements. Special emphasis is given to the period 1870 to 1940.

Washington Harbor/School House Beach
Historically, this was the site of the first schoolhouse in Door County but today we’ll enjoy the beauty of this quiet, stony beach. 

We’ll enjoy a Box Lunch as we take in the beautiful scenery.

Mann’s Mercantile - Shop like the locals do!
Here you’ll find t-shirts, jewelry and the best fudge in Door County.  

Stop to pick up goodies at Ephraim Lavender Shop.  

Our visit to Washington Island comes to an end we’ll board the ferry back to the mainland.   

Before returning to the resort, we’ll stop at Sister Bay for a photo op at Al Johnson’s where we might see (there’s no guarantee) goats on the roof!.

Friday, June 3

7:30 am The Breakfast Buffet at Rowleys Bay Resort starts another day!

8:30 am Depart from Rowley’s Bay Resort

Before leaving Door County we will stop at Renards Cheese.
Lunch is included at Water’s Edge Restaurant in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

2:00 pm CDT Set sail for our voyage across Lake Michigan aboard the S.S. Badger

During our four-hour cruise, we will enjoy dinner. 

7:00 pm EDT Arrive in Luddington, Michigan

Overnight: Hampton Inn - Holland 

Sharkee’s Bar & Grill is on site here if you would like a bedtime snack.

Saturday, June 4

Breakfast is included in the hotel.

8:30 am DeKlomp Wooden Shoe and Delft Factory

Here you can buy authentic Holland souvenirs. The Delft Factory is the only production facility in North America for this Dutch pottery.

9:30 am ET Depart from Holland, Michigan

On our way home, we’ll stop in Mooresville, Indiana, where lunch is on your own at Gray Bros. Cafeteria.

5:00 pm CT Return to Evansville (Return time is approximate.)
