Sunday, November 13
Depart from Lakeside Commons (N. side of lot by ONB)

As we head to Mississippi, we will stop for breaks. Lunch is included at “the home of the throwed rolls”, Lambert’s Café in Sikeston, Missouri.

After checking-in at the Drury Hotel in Jackson, Mississippi, you can enjoy dinner at the hotel’s “kick back”. If you prefer, there are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. 

Overnight: Drury Inn in Ridgeland, Mississippi   

Monday, November 14

Breakfast is available in the hotel.

8:00 am Depart from the Drury Inn.

We’re going to Lafayette! Be prepared for great food, interesting people, music and dancing and a little bit of fun along the way. 

Arriving in Lafayette, we’ll meet our local guide and enjoy lunch

As we start our guided city tour of Downtown Lafayette, we’ll visit St. John’s Cathedral and the 500-year-old Oak Tree and Cemetery.

During a visit to All Seasons Home, Garden & Landscaping Showplace we’ll see lots of Louisiana’s spring native plants and find some gifts.

A stop at Daiquiri Supreme will offer the chance for the beverage of your choice and an enjoyable spot to take pictures.

Later this afternoon we’ll check-in at our home for the next two nights, the  Home 2 Suites By Hilton in nearby River Ranch.

A little time to freshen up in the hotel before going out for dinner and fun

Tuesday, November 15

Breakfast is included in the hotel.

Meet our local guide, and depart for a busy day of touring.  

At Rouse’s, a family-owned grocery store, you’ll be able to buy some delicious Louisiana foods and beverages.

You’ll learn everything you wanted to know about Cajun life at the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve.

At Vermillionville we will see a restored village that will give us an idea of what life was like 200 years ago and what it’s like today on the bayou.  

Lunch will include some delicious gumbo and bread puddin’.

Wildlife and greenery will abound during our Swamp Tour.

Dinner is included this evening.

Wednesday, November 16

Breakfast is included in the hotel.

During our visit to Jefferson Island, we will see the Rip Van Winkle Gardens and the Joe Jefferson Mansion

On Avery Island we’ll tour the TABASCO Factory. Along with the factory, we’ll see the Country Store, the Green House and the Barrel Display. 

Lunch is included before heading over to New Orleans.

Check-in at the Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter on Royal Street

Dinner is a treat this evening at the Court of 2 Sisters on Royal Street.

After dinner you’ll have time to relax or to explore the French Quarter.

Thursday, November 17

Breakfast is included in the hotel.

The morning starts with a ”city and cemetery” tour.

Behind the scenes at Mardi Gras World, we’ll see where all the floats are built throughout the year.

The National WWII Museum
Lunch is included in the Museum.

6:00 pm Boarding begins for our Steamboat Evening Jazz Dinner Cruise.

Overnight: Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter

Friday, November 18

Breakfast is included in the hotel.

After checking-out of our hotel we’ll depart from the city.

9:00 am Tour Laura Plantation, a Creole plantation.

10:30 am Tour Oak Alley Plantation 

NOON: Enjoy a wonderful lunch at Oak Alley Plantation.

Dinner is included as we travel north to Memphis.

Overnight: DoubleTree Hotel Downtown Memphis

Saturday, November 19

Breakfast is yours to enjoy in the hotel.

8:30 am Depart from Memphis

12:15 pm Lunch is at the rustic and beautiful Giant City State Park Lodge

4:30 pm Return to Evansville (Return time is approximate.)
