Sunday, October 28

We will enjoy coffee + doughnuts and take breaks as we travel to Montgomery, Alabama.
Lunch is included at Rail Yard in Decatur, Alabama.
Food and drink during the “5:30 Kickback” are included at the Drury Inn, our home in Montgomery. (L, D)

Monday, October 29

Breakfast is included in the Drury Inn.
In Malbis, Alabama, we will tour the Malbis Memorial Church. Built in Byzantine architecture, this Greek Orthodox Church opened in 1965.
Dean Moser will serve as our guide through the Fairhope Storybook Castles.
Lunch is included before we tour Punta Clara Candy Kitchen.
Dinner and entertainment are included this evening and we’ll spend the first of three nights at the Marriott Hotel in Mobile. (B, L, D)

Tuesday, October 30

Breakfast is included in the Marriott Hotel this morning before we start a busy day of touring.
Our riding tour of historic Mobile will include a visit to the Richards DAR Museum Home.
This townhouse was built in 1860 by Streamboat Captain Charles G. Richards and his wife, Caroline Elizabeth Steele. It tells the story of Mobile during its antebellum period.
Five chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Mobile lease the home.
At the Mobile Carnival Museum we’ll learn about the history and traditions of Mardi Gras Mobile.
You’ll see crowns, scepters and robes of Mardi Gras monarchs and learn the art of costume design and float construction.
Lunch is included today.
This afternoon we’ll tour the beautiful Bellingrath Gardens. Here we’ll enjoy the 65-acre estate, its gardens and landscapes.
A Sunset Cruise aboard the Osprey completes the day.
Dinner is included this evening. (B, L, D)

Wednesday, October 31

Breakfast is in the Marriott Hotel.
Today we head over to Pensacola to the Naval Aviation Museum.
This is the world’s largest of its type, housing 150 restored aircraft inside the Museum’s indoor space and outside on its 37-acre grounds.
We plan to watch a Blue Angels Practice. Practices are held here on a regular schedule.
Weather and other factors can cause a practice to be canceled, even at the last minute.
But, if we are lucky enough to see one, it will be a memorable experience.
Lunch is included in the Mustin Beach Officers Club.
This afternoon you’ll have time to walk the beach along Pensacola Bay, enjoying the clear blue water and white sand that make this area such a popular destination.
After dinner, we’ll enjoy a “Halloween Ghost Tour” in Mobile. (B, L, D)

Thursday, November 1

After breakfast in the Marriott, we depart from the hotel and bid farewell to Mobile.
Arriving in Huntsville, we’ll tour the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
Dinner is at Grille 29.
Overnight at Hampton Inn Huntsville/Village of Providence (B, D)

Friday, November 2

Breakfast in the Hampton Inn starts our last day of touring.
Our first stop is a visit to the Unclaimed Baggage Center. Doyle Owens began to buy and sell lost luggage from a card table in 1970. Today this Center covers more than a city block and attracts more than a million visitors each year. You never know what you might find!
Lunch is in a quaint setting - Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House in Lynchburg, Tennessee
This afternoon we travel home, enjoying the company of friends new and old. (B, L)
