Monday, August 7

Settle in and meet your fellow travelers as we begin our journey north to the Waters of Wisconsin.

Along the way we will take breaks and stop for lunch at Fair Oaks Farmhttps://fofarms.com/

Arriving in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, we’ll take a riding tour and have time to take in the sunset at Lake Geneva. The day ends with dinner (in the hotel) at Gino’s and the first of our two-night stay at the beautiful Harbor Shores on Lake Genevahttps://www.harborshoreslg.com/(L, D)

 

Tuesday, August 8

After breakfast in the hotel we’ll experience the unique U.S. Mail Boat cruise https://www.cruiselakegeneva.com/ on Lake Geneva. 

We’ll see the beautiful homes on the lake as we take part in this 100-year old mail service.

Lunch is at Popeye’s (not the chain Popeye’s) and you’ll have some free time in downtown Lake Geneva. Our afternoon activity is yet to be announced but it should be interesting.  

At Dancing Horse Theater https://thedancinghorses.com/  we’ll take a backstage tour, take a Train Ride through the Wildlife Exhibit and then enjoy dinner at the Dancing Horse Show. (B, L, D)

 

Wednesday, August 9

Breakfast starts our day. First up: All Aboard the East Troy Electric Railroadhttps://www.easttroyrr.org/   Enjoy a ride with narration and stop for Paper Bag Apple Pie at Elegant Farm. At the East Troy Electric Railroad Depot we’ll have a Boxed Lunch.  

Later we arrive at Wisconsin Dells, where our visit begins with the Upper Dells Boat Ride.

Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner and the first of our two-night stay at the Clarion Hotel in 

Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.  (B, L, D)

 

Thursday, August 10

After breakfast in the hotel we’ll take a ride on the Original Ducks https://www.wisconsinducktours.com/  into the Wisconsin River, Delton Lake and we’ll travel some miles on the Wilderness Trail. This afternoon we’ll have a Boxed Lunch and see a show as we take in the Circus World Museumhttps://www.circusworldbaraboo.org/ 

During a visit to the International Crane Foundation, https://savingcranes.org/ we will observe the world’s 15 crane species and learn about their biology. We’ll hear about the current threats to cranes and the methods used to conserve endangered species. And we’ll learn about the international work and initiatives of the International Crane Foundation.  

The day ends with dinner and a fun show at the Wisconsin Opry. (B, L, D.)

 

Friday, August 11

Breakfast in the hotel starts our final day and we’ll travel home Lunch is included as we travel and later this evening we’ll return to Evansville. (B, L)
