Timișoara is the capital city of Timiș County, and the main social, economic, transport, cultural and educational centre in western Romania. One of the largest Romanian cities, Timișoara is the informal capital city of the historical region of Banat. It is also often described as the most cosmopolitan city in Romania.
Tilburg is a landlocked municipality and a city in the Netherlands, located in the southern province of Noord-Brabant. Tilburg is known for its many great Universities such as Avans University of Applied Sciences, Fontys University of Applied Sciences and Fontys Academy of Journalism. It has nearly 30.000 students at one of these universities.
A 10 day-long funfair, the largest of the Benelux, is held in July each year. The Monday of fair week is called "Roze Maandag" (Pink Monday), and is gay-oriented, though also enjoyed by many heterosexuals.
Tijuana is the dominant focal city of Northwestern Mexico, in Baja California, Mexico and right across the border from San Diego, California, USA. Prominent tourist attractions include Avenida Revolucion in Zona Centro, shops and restaurants in Zona Rio, and nightlife entertainment which is concentrated in several localities.
Tibet is an autonomous region of China. Within China, Tibet is identified as an Autonomous Region. The current borders of Tibet were generally established in the 18th century and include about half of ethno-cultural Tibet. The Tibet Autonomous Region is the second-largest province-level division of China by area. Entering Tibet you feel as though you've entered an entirely different world. The traditional Tibetan culture, though diluted recently by government-sponsored migrations of Han and Hui Chinese, remains strong and central to the region.
Tianjin is a metropolis in North China and one of the five national central cities. It is governed as a direct-controlled municipality, one of four such designations, and is thus under direct administration of the central government. The city borders Hebei Province and Beijing Municipality, bounded to the east by the Bohai Gulf portion of the Yellow Sea. As a dual-core city, Tianjin is divided into the old city and the Binhai New Area. As a treaty port since 1860, Tianjin has been a major seaport and gateway to the nation's capital.
Thiruvananthapuram, formerly known as Trivandrum, is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Kerala. It is located on the west coast of India near the extreme south of the mainland. Referred to by Mahatma Gandhi as the "evergreen city of India", it is classified as a Tier-II city by the Government of India.
Thiruvananthapuram contributes nearly 80% of the state's software exports and is a major IT hub. It was ranked as the best city in Kerala to live in a 2012 survey by Times of India. The city was also ranked as the best city in India for Housing and Transport by a survey conducted by India Today.
Thimphu also spelt Thimpu, is the capital and largest city of Bhutan. The city became the capital of Bhutan in 1961. The culture of Bhutan is fully reflected in Thimphu in respect of literature, religion, customs, and national dress code, the monastic practices of the monasteries, music, dance, literature and in the media.
Norzin Lam is the city's main thoroughfare and is lined with hotels, shopping complexes and hotels. Tshechu is an important festival when mask dances, popularly known as Cham dances, are performed in the courtyards of the Tashichho Dzong in Thimphu.
The Hague is a city on the North Sea coast of the western Netherlands. It is a city with a worldly sophistication, excellent art museums and the beach of Scheveningen. Most foreign embassies in the Netherlands and 150 international organisations are located in the city, including the International Court of Justiceand the International Criminal Court, which makes The Hague one of the major cities hosting the United Nations, along with New York, Geneva, Vienna, Rome and Nairobi.
The Gambia, officially the Islamic Republic of The Gambia, formerly the Republic of The Gambia, and often called simply Gambia, is a country in West Africa mostly surrounded by Senegal with a short strip of its coastline bordered with the Atlantic Ocean at its western end. It is the smallest country on mainland Africa. Inextricably linked to the river Gambia, one of Africa's great waterways, The Gambia comprises a varied landscape, featuring sandy beaches, lush tropical forests, swamps, marshes and large areas of wooded savannah.
Amsterdam is the capital of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is the country's largest city and its financial, cultural, and creative centre. Amsterdam derives its name from the city’s origin as “Dam” of river “Amstel”. In the past, the name was "Amstelredamme" which later changed as “Amsterdam”.
