La Plata is the capital of Argentina's Buenos Aires province, and near the city of Buenos Aires. A planned city, it’s known for its distinctive diagonal avenues.
La Plata was designed around a central axis marked by 51st and 53rd Avenues, the main artery of the city where the main buildings and landmarks are located: the Cathedral, City Hall, Moreno Plaza, the Teatro Argentino, the Provincial Legislature and Government around Plaza San Martin. Its urban design was worked on by Pedro Benoit and his prestigious team, who are among the most distinguished in the world. His basic design was a perfect square, cut in half diagonally and with plazas and parks scattered around the city, grand tree-lined boulevards and a forest right near the center of the city.
La Palma, also San Miguel de La Palma, is the most north-westerly island of the Canary Islands,Spain. La Palma has an area of 706 km2 making it the fifth largest of the seven main Canary Islands. La Palma, like the other islands of the Canary Island archipelago, is also a volcanic ocean island. It is truly an idyllic spot with numerous ecological treasures.

Lanzhou is the capital and largest city of Gansu Province in Northwest China. The prefecture-level city, located on the banks of the Yellow River, is a key regional transportation hub, connecting areas further west by rail to the eastern half of the country. Historically, it has been a major link on the Northern Silk Road. The city is also a center for heavy industry and petrochemical industry.
Lanzarote, a Spanish island, is the easternmost of the autonomous Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean. Covering 845.94 square kilometers (327 sq mi), it is the fourth largest of the islands in the archipelago. With 141,938 inhabitants, Lanzarote is the third most populous island of the Canary Islands, after Tenerife and Gran Canaria. In the center-west of the island is the Timanfaya National Park, which is one of the main attractions of Lanzarote. Its capital is Arrecife.
Lantana is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 10,423 at the 2010 United States Census.
From 1974 until 1988, Lantana was home to the tradition of hosting the largest decorated Christmas Tree in the world. Every year, a huge tree would be shipped from the Pacific Northwest to Lantana by rail to the grounds of the National Enquirer, adjacent to the Florida East Coast Railway tracks. The event would attract thousands of visitors every night, and grew to be one of the most spectacular and celebrated holiday events in South Florida.
Lampang, also called Nakhon Lampang, is the third largest town in northern Thailand and capital of Lampang Province and the Lampang district. Traditional names for Lampang include Wiang Lakon and Khelang Nakhon. The city is still growing rapidly as trading and transportation center. It offer much of the historic interest of Lanna as well as Chiangmai, but without the overt commercialization. Located in the hearth of the North, Lampang is also a good base for excursions and travel within Northern Thailand.
La Massana is one of the seven parishes of the Principality of Andorra. It is located in the northwest of the country. It is also the name of the main town of the parish. The name Massana derives from the Latin name mattianam for a variety of apple.
The parish is extremely mountainous and contains the highest mountain in Andorra, Coma Pedrosa (2,942 m or 9,652 ft). Its western side limits with Tor, Pallars municipal term, in the border with Spain.
Lake View, or Lakeview, is one of the 77 community areas of Chicago, Illinois, located on the city's North Side. Lakeview East contains the district known as Boystown, famous for its large LGBT population and the pride parade held each June. Wrigleyville, another popular district, surrounds Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. New Town, a name for the area centered at the intersection of North Clark Street and West Diversey Parkway, was a commonly encountered appellation in the 1970s and 1980s but has fallen into disuse. The Northalsted Merchants Association is centered on the North Halsted Street strip between West Belmont Avenue and West Irving Park Road on Halsted. In 2013 Money Magazine named Lake View as number 3 of its top 10 Big-city neighborhoods for its selection of Best Places to Live.
Lake Havasu City is a city in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. According to 2010 census, the population of the town is 52,527 people. It is served by Lake Havasu City Airport. Lake Havasu City is geographically isolated from the other cities in Mohave County and is the southernmost community of Greater Las Vegas.
