Guatemala, a Central American country south of Mexico, is distinguished by its steep volcanoes, vast rainforests and ancient Mayan sites. A representative democracy, Guatemala's capital and largest city is Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción, also known as Guatemala City. The country's abundance of biologically significant and unique ecosystems, which includes a large number of endemic species, contributes to Mesoamerica's designation as a biodiversity hotspot. The country is also known for its rich and distinct culture, which is characterized by a fusion of Spanish and Indigenous influences.
Guarulhos is a city in São Paulo, located in the metropolitan area of the city of São Paulo. It is mostly known for its international airport, the most important of South America and the main gateway to São Paulo. Indeed, as an industrial city, Guarulhos has not much to offer to a visitor, although there are remarkable exceptions, like the Cabuçu center of Parque Estadual da Cantareira, one of the most beautiful nature spots of the São Paulo metropolitan area.
Guardalavaca is a town in the Holguín Province of Cuba. It is a tourist location due to its white sandy beaches and warm waters.
"Guardalavaca" literally means "guard the cow" in Spanish, is located on the northern shore of Cuba, bordering Bahia de Naranjo (Orange Bay), on Cabo Lucrecia, and is part of the municipality of Banes. Beaches in Guardalavaca include Guardalavaca Beach, Playa Esmeralda, Don Lino and Bahia de Naranjo.
Guangzhou - also known as Canton or Kwangchow, is a sub-provincial city and the capital of the Guangdong province in the People's Republic of China. It is one of the five National Central Cities. Located in southern China on the Pearl River, about 120 km (75 mi) northwest of Hong Kong, Guangzhou is a key transportation hub and trading port. It is the third largest city in China and southern China's largest city. Being the city opened to the world earliest in China, Guangzhou is one of the modernist cities in China. It is also a city named Flower city. Each year, there will be a flower exhibition and people from all over the world coming to Guangzhou to join this event.
Guangdong is a Chinese province on the South China Sea coast of the People's Republic of China. Formerly romanised as Canton or Kwangtung, Guangdong surpassed Henan and Sichuan to become the most populous province in China. Its capital, Guangzhou, sits within its industrial Pearl River Delta region. Guangdong also hosts the largest import and export fair in China called the 'Canton Fair' in Guangdong's capital city. The food and language of the area are still known as Cantonese. Much of what is associated with overseas Chinese food and culture has its origins here.
Guanacaste is a province of Costa Rica located in the northwestern part of the country, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. it borders Nicaragua to the north. Guanacaste's capital is Liberia. Other important cities include Cañas and Nicoya.
Guanacaste is popular for its beaches and biodiverse parkland. Its Santa Rosa National Park is home to rare dry tropical forest, surfing sites and some 250 bird species. It's spectacular beaches include Playa Blanca, with its calm waters, and Playa Hermosa, popular for diving and water sports.
Guam is an organized, unincorporated territory of the United States located in the western Pacific Ocean. It is one of five U.S. territories with an established civilian government. Guam is listed as one of 16 Non-Self-Governing Territories by the Special Committee on Decolonization of the United Nations. The island's capital is Hagåtña (formerly Agaña). Guam is the largest and southernmost of the Mariana Islands. Today, Guam's economy is supported by its principal industry, tourism, which is composed primarily of visitors from Japan. Guam's second-largest source of income is the United States military.
Guadeloupe (sometimes known as the ''Butterfly Island''), a French overseas territory, is an island group in the southern Caribbean Sea. It is an archipelago of nine inhabited islands, including Basse-Terre, Grande-Terre, Marie-Galante, La Desirade, Iles des Saintes, Saint-Barthélemy, Iles de la Petite Terre, and Saint-Martin (French part of the island of Saint Martin). Guadeloupe is best known for its rich culture, volcano, beautiful scenery and wonderful beaches.
The second city of the Mexican Republic and capital of the state of Jalisco, Guadalajara is considered the most “Mexican” of the country’s big cities. The city is named after the Spanish city of Guadalajara meaning "river/valley of stones". Guadalajara is a cultural center of Mexico, considered by most to be the home of mariachi music and host to a number of large-scale cultural events such as the Guadalajara International Film Festival, the Guadalajara International Book Fair, and globally renowned cultural events which draw international crowds. It is home to the C.D. Guadalajara, one of the most popular football clubs in Mexico.
